2) Book: Talent Code: Greatness Isn’t Born. It’s Grown. Here’s How. by Daniel Coyle.

This book talks more about learning in the context of sports and instruments. This is the book where I got the two columns of words, with one column having missing letters. I don’t reference anything else from this book.

4) How We Learn: What Works, What Doesn’t

The main referenced I used in the presentation. It’s a summary of over 700 scientific articles on what helps with learning.You can the whole thing here: Download

5) Book: Moonwalking with Einstein: The Art and Science of Remembering Everything by Joshua Foer

An interesting read on Joshua preparing for the memory championships. I listen to the audiobook of this. I found because it was so vivid with the memory palace it was like watching a movie.

Note: this book doesn’t go super in details about the different techniques. If you want books that go deeper, books by Dominic O’Brien (eight time memory champion) are excellent. I’ve read Quantum Memory Power.

This did not appear in the presentation, but I’ve listed it here so you can see that a popular method of “how to read a scientific paper” is quite similar to SQ3Rs and PQRST. I recommend you give it a read if you’re at that stage in university where you need to read a lot of scientific papers.
